Privacy

Servono solo a risponderti. 6, par.

Alcune pagine progetto contengono video ospitati su YouTube (Google) e su Vimeo.

Dove stanno i dati

I tuoi diritti

This is my personal website. This page explains what data it collects, why, and for how long. In short: no advertising, no profiling cookies, no data sold or shared, and the statistics never store your IP address.

Who is responsible

The data controller is me, Michele Cireddu. For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights, write to me from the Contact section of the site.

Visit statistics

To understand how the site is used, when you open a page your browser sends the site a few details: the pages and parts of the dialogue you open, the projects you look at and for how long, the site you came from, your browser language and the type of device. I don’t use cookies or other companies’ analytics services: the data stays on the site’s server.

Your IP address is never stored. I use it for a few minutes, one day at most, to work out the country, the approximate city and the network you’re connecting from, using a database installed on the site. If the network belongs to a company, a university or an institution, I record its name. To recognise it, the address is checked against the public registry of IP addresses (RIPE NCC, in the Netherlands; for addresses outside Europe, the registry for their region, such as ARIN in the United States) and against DNS. From home or a phone, only the internet provider is visible, not who you are. Then the IP address is deleted.

To count unique visitors I use an encrypted code, derived from the IP address and the browser with a key that changes every week and is then deleted: it can’t be traced back to you. If you open the site from a personal link I sent you (with ?da= in the address), I know that link was opened.

Only I can see visit data, including in a weekly summary I receive by email, and I keep it for 13 months. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used and who is interested in my work (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You can object at any time. The button below saves your choice in this browser, and from then on your visits are no longer recorded. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is recorded anyway.

Contact form

If you write to me through the dialogue, I collect your name, email, reason and message, plus the language you were using on the site. They are used only to reply to you. The message is saved in a private archive on the site and sent to me by email. I keep it as long as needed to handle the conversation and no longer than 24 months after our last exchange, unless it leads to working together. Legal basis: replying to your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To block spam, the site keeps an encrypted fingerprint of the connection for one hour, without storing the IP address.

What stays in your browser

The site stores only a few technical preferences in your browser. None of them is used to profile you or sent to anyone else:

  • mc_dialogo_v1 (local storage): how many times you’ve visited, when, and which lines and projects you’ve already seen. It lets the dialogue avoid repeating itself and greet you when you come back. It stays in your browser and is never sent to the site.
  • mc_lang (technical cookie, 12 months): the language you chose, only if you changed it.
  • mc_grain (local storage): whether you turned the grain effect on or off.
  • mcs_off (local storage): only if you asked not to be counted.

You can delete them at any time from your browser settings, under site data.

YouTube and Vimeo videos

Some project pages contain videos hosted on YouTube (Google) and Vimeo. When you open one of these pages, your browser connects to their servers: they receive your IP address and may use cookies or similar tools under their own rules. I receive nothing from them. Details are in the privacy policies of Google and Vimeo.

Where the data is

The site is hosted by Aruba S.p.A., in Italy, which runs it on my behalf. Like any server, it logs technical request data for security (IP address, page, date and time) and keeps it under its own rules. Fonts are loaded from the site itself, not from external services. Messages from the form and the statistics summary reach my email inbox, at my email provider. I don’t pass the data to anyone else and I don’t use it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask me to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format, or object to its processing. Write to me from the Contact section. Statistics aren’t linked to your name: to find them I need details that identify the visit, such as the link I sent you and the day you opened it.
